The country wide selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), headed through former cricketer Chetan Sharma, announced the 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup in the UAE on Wednesday night time.
Former cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the spotlight of the day. Not as a participant, but as a crew guide, Dhoni will accompany the team to the T20 World Cup.
The T20 World Cup may be played in UAE and Oman from October 17. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah stated, "Former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni can be the mentor of the Indian group for this match. I had a dialogue with him in Dubai. He best agreed to be the guide for the T20 World Cup. The captain and vice-captain have also agreed in this. 'As captain, Kohli has but to win a unmarried ICC match. Therefore, Kohli will benefit from Dhoni's revel in of prevailing all three ICC tournaments. Dhoni is presently busy getting ready for the IPL with Chennai Super Kings in the UAE.
