Pro kabbadi: Blistering Bangalore Bulls beat Dabangg Delhi KC by a record 39 points.
Pawan Sehrawat's impressive 27-point performance was the highlight of the Bengaluru Bulls' sixty one-22 victory over the domineering Delhi KC. The Bulls' 39-point victory was the second biggest victory in the history of Vivo Pro Kabaddi. Bengaluru also holds the record for the biggest win in league history - a 40-point win over UP. Warrior in Season 5.
Within minutes, the game was tied at 5-5. But while the Bulls got two points through successful bonus efforts, all five of Delhi's points came through touch or tackle, leaving Bangalore with only three men of the mat.
The Bulls came to the rescue of their team, first with a super tackle and then two more tackle points which helped their team to a 6-1 lead and left Delhi with only three players on the mat. Pawan Sehrawat took two touch points in a row and the Bulls' defense took care of the final Delhi player and made the first all out of the game and took a nine-point lead.
Ajay and Sehrawat added two more points to their team's total and then the Bulls captain picked up a super red to take Delhi to a 14-point deficit. Sehrawat then picked up the 11th red point of the night by touching Ashu Malik and the defense trapped Ajay Thakur to give Delhi a second all out and take a 16-point lead at halftime.
Sehrawat continued to accumulate points on the scoreboard early in the second half, adding three more points to his team's total to take their lead to 19. A two-run stand from Bharat and then a Bulls save left Delhi with another successful match. Two players on the mat. Sehrawat took care of one with a touch point and in the ensuing climb, the defender knocked the other down, giving Delhi a third all-out and giving Bangalore a 39-14 lead.
Delhi couldn’t just stop the offense or the defense, as the Bulls scored another 6-2 to give them a 29-point lead. The Bulls' defense faced Ashu and the lone Delhi defender surrendered to the touch point which gave Delhi a fourth all out and scored 50 runs on Bangalore's scoreboard.
Pawan added three more points to his tally and completed 800 red points in vivo pro kabaddi, making him only the fourth player to achieve this feat. The Bengaluru captain could not wait, as the 27th point of the night left Delhi with only one player. In the ensuing ascent, Bangalore's defense completed the formalities and bowled out Delhi for the fifth time and took a forty one point lead.
Delhi ended the game with three-1 runs, two tackle points in their defense and the red point given by Malik and the biggest difference in vivo pkl history.
