PKL session 8 Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar help Puneri platoon to dominate Delhi

Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar combined for 17 red points and Sombir's six tackle points helped Pune beat Dabangg Delhi 41-25.

The victory reduced the platoon's gap between the top six positions by seven points.

The game started 4-four as both the teams hit each other hard. Mohit Goyat and Paltan's defense then helped his team to three unanswered points and only two Delhi men remained on the mat.

Pune's defense allowed the Raiders to pick up bonus points before rushing down to leave Delhi with a lone player. Krishan surrendered a touch point, which put Delhi all out and gave the platoon an eleven-5 lead.

As Nitin Tomar, Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar helped their team to a 7-2 lead, they continued to accumulate points on the scoreboard, increasing their lead to 11 points. Delhi's two-man defense managed to prevent a leak with a super tackle.

But it was a momentary relief, as Inamdar and Paltan's defense sent Delhi's final three all out in quick succession, helping their team to a 23-10 lead. Delhi finished the half 3-2 and are 13 points behind at halftime.

Inamdar, Goyat and Paltan picked up the defense from where they had left off in the first half, as they combined to beat Delhi 6-3 in the second half and reduce them to the lone man on the mat. Neeraj Narwal managed to pick up the bonus, but was immediately overwhelmed by the platoon's defense, which led to a third all-out on Delhi.

Neeraj and Sandeep Narwal helped Delhi on the scoreboard very close to the platoon's total, but Inamdar and Goyat kept their team in the lead. The young duo helped the platoon level a point-to-point draw with Delhi in the last 10 minutes of the game and denied Delhi a way back to the tournament.

Victory managed to steal bonuses and touch points in the final climb of the game, but it was too late for the platoon to record a comfortable 17-point victory.
