The Patna Pirates beat the rest of the teams in Vivo Pro Kabaddi by a huge margin of 52-24 against the Tamil Thalaivas. The Pirates set a new franchise record with 21 tackle points, and their defense outscored Thalaivas 15-12 in the second half. With this win, the Pirates moved up to second place in the points table and have three games left on the league-led Bengaluru Bulls.
The fight was colorful in the first five minutes, with both teams matching point-by-point as they were level on the scoreboard. With the score tied at 8-8, the Pirates started preparing and left Thalayavas with a lone man on the mat with four unanswered points. Sagar did not try to tackle the raider and surrendered the red point, which was the first all out of the game on Thalayavas.
Prashant Kumar Rai and Monu added to the Pirates' total score and their defense kept the Thalayavas Raiders hungry for points as the teams entered the break, with Patna leading 21-12.
Monu's tackle point and Sachin's touch point reduced Thalayavas to a lone man on the mat early in the second half. Mohammedreza Chianeh's Bhavani Rajput's sensational thigh helped the Pirates to all out and take a 12-point lead in the tournament.

In the last few minutes of the game, Thalayavas beat the Pirates 6-4, but Patna's Neeraj Kumar and Sunil took tackle points to top five runs with Mohammad Reza. Captain Prashant Kumar Rai went for the final climb of the game and watched. The clock struck zero and confirm the Pirates' huge victory.
