Check out our previews for both games:
Match 86: Bengal Warriors vs Gujarat Giants
In their last five matches, the Bengal Warriors have reached the fifth position in the Vivo Pro Kabaddi standings. Captain Maninder Singh has scored sixty eight points and four Super 10s in those five matches and the Warriors have lynchpin throughout the campaign. The much-talked-about Bengal defender had played well against the Jaipur Pink Panthers in their previous match. He himself got ten tackle points and stopped the crime of Jaipur at 18 red points. If the Warriors' defense can reach top gear and Maninder can continue his incredible form, it will be difficult to place a bet against the Warriors who will reclaim their throne at the end of the campaign.
The Giants recorded a convincing 32-26 win over the Haryana Steelers yesterday and closed the gap on the top six in the table by eight points. Ajay Kumar and Pardeep Kumar combined for 20 red points and dropped just four tackle points to defend the Steelers, which proved to be the difference at night. The Giants' defense struggled in the first half but made only eight impressions in the second half. This season, Gujarat's experienced defense is their Achilles heel, but if they show the same discipline as they did in the second half against Haryana, they could enter the playoffs late.
Bengal Warriors vs Gujarat Giants face to face
The Warriors and Giants series is tied at 2-2 after five matches. Both teams have shared the loot at once. The first match of the season between the two teams ended 28-26 for the Warriors.
Match 87: Bangalore Bulls v U.P. Warrior
The Bengaluru Bulls had lost the previous match 42-24 against Tamil Nadu, their fifth defeat in six matches. Their only win during the game was against the Telugu Titans, who are currently at the bottom of the table. The Bulls have dropped 38.3 points per game in their last six outings, a figure that shows how bad their recent form has been. If Bangalore stays on its current path, it could be out of the top six in the table. They desperately need victory to get their campaign back on track.
After winning three games in a row, U.P. The Warriors have suffered two consecutive defeats in the last two matches. While their offense piles up points on the scoreboard, their defensive unit remains poor. On his previous trip, U.P. Gained just two tackle points against the Pune Regiment, the worst defensive performance in the history of the franchise. Their over-reliance on the printing unit may undo this season. Nitesh Kumar, Sumit and the rest of the defenders need to elevate their game, while U.P. Wants to enter the playoffs this season.
Bangalore Bulls v U.P. Warrior Mastaki
The Bengaluru Bulls have won six of the ten matches against UP and lost four. Warrior. In their first meeting this season, U.P. The 42-27 win set a new franchise record with 22 tackle points.
